A woman in Missouri was detained by the police after allegedly attempting to hit a police officer with a car.
Earlier Tuesday, Springfield Police said that the incident started in the parking lot before a police officer spotted a parked vehicle.
The suspect fled the scene, but has since been discovered and is currently in detention.
However, the police are continuing to search for suspicious vehicles. The vehicle is a maroon 201

According to the official, the official tried to question the driver, who was later identified as 27-year-old Maggie Thrift. When interrogating her, the police said that the suspect tried to escape the scene and even tried to hit a policeman with a vehicle while she was driving away.

Springfield Police Chief Paul Williams said: “At the time, three independent police officers fired on the vehicle.” “The vehicle ran north in Maine and was not there at the time.”
Williams added that the officer received minor injuries but did not require extensive medical care.
“He has been treated since,” Williams said of the officer. “[And] Released and sent home. “
Later it was found that the car was abandoned in another place. Thrift was also found and arrested for minor injuries. She was reportedly wanted for several arrest warrants.
