NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The police announced on Sunday that the corpse of a missing Queens music teacher was found in a forest area in northern New York seven days after he was last seen by friends in his Kew Gardens  Public school teacher Keith Johnson, 46, was last seen last Saturday, May 4. His gray 2006 Hyundai Elantra, with a New York license plate DSU6632, was found by the police in Shodack, NY, south of Albany on Saturday
Johnson was found near Shandaken, NY, and was described as dead. A Coroner Will Determine the Cause of Death
On May 5, neighbor Ken Achan met Johnson at her home in Kew Gardens, reports Dave Carlin of CBS2.
Achan says Johnson told him that he would leave the city for a short excursion
"He told me that he left out a lot of food for the cats and did not have to worry about his camping," said he.
The days passed, the post office and garbage piled up, but there was no sign of Johnson. The Headmistress at PS 29 at College Point called the police after Johnson had not come to work for several days.
