Although PlayStation has a large number of exclusive products, the biggest selling point of the Microsoft Xbox console is Xbox Game Pass, backward compatibility and the company’s widely acclaimed real-time service for multiplayer games.
Among these backward compatibility, the most important point is arguably the most important-Game Pass relies on it, which is an important reason why people insist on using the same console-to ensure that its old game library can still work normally.

Ronald talked with King of Games about the challenge of increasing backward compatibility with old games and said that he would be happy to add more games to the program, but now they are facing challenges that will slow down instead of Speed up the launch of new games:
“We hope to bring more games to the program, but it is getting harder. First of all, technically, can we make some of these games work? But more than now, in some cases, These developers or publishers don’t even exist. Or, there is a license agreement, or maybe the developer has a franchise plan, so this is definitely a challenge.
I would definitely say this is getting harder and harder, [but] We hope to bring more games to the program.I cannot commit to any particular game or [confirm whether] We will be able to add more games in the future, but this is definitely something we are working on, we are doing our best, but I will definitely say that we heard feedback. “
Due to software compatibility issues, even with a solid PC (not to mention a game console), it is difficult to make games today before around 2012. Emulators can sometimes solve this problem, but they usually encounter their own problems in the process, and they are known to take up a lot of memory and CPU.
One solution that Microsoft has been adopting is to build its own system that will be able to be used in various games regardless of the developer, such as Auto HDR and the recently released FPS Boost. But the latter requires developers to work with Microsoft to roll out new updates. Therefore, it is currently only available for five games (“Far Cry 4” and “Watch Dogs 2” are the largest), but it is expected to expand to a series of games in the coming months.
