Michelle Branch shared that she had a miscarriage recently.
The 37-year-old singer and songwriter and 136,000 followers revealed heartbreaking details on Instagram.
“Just when we got into third place and went home (a baseball metaphor?! I know.) 2020 is like’No, I’m not done yet.” December decided to really end us! No, literally. Yesterday, a bomb exploded in downtown Nashville. “In order to further impress the dagger, I experienced the first miscarriage…”
Despite the unfortunate misfortune, Blanche pointed out that she and her family continued to try hard and celebrate the holiday.
“Unfortunately, between crying and overeating, I decided to put on lipstick and a dress. We drank champagne. Had an incredible meal, sang Christmas songs, and was surrounded by the raging fire.
Counting down until the new year, Blanche said she was “towards the finish line.”
However, she made sure to add that her family helped her through the challenges of 2020.
“These people, my precious family, my husband, sister and children are all members of the MVP,” Blanche wrote. “I can’t imagine spending a year with anyone else. Happy Christmas to everyone.”
Branch is the mother of her 15-year-old daughter, Owen Isabelle Landau, who lives with her ex-husband Teddy Landau.
In August 2018, the Grammy Award winner and her husband gave birth to son Rhys James Carney.
Branch and her family live in Nashville, Tennessee. On Friday, an RV exploded and injured three people.
