The Mets have placed Yoenis Céspedes on the disabled 10-day list, the team announced Wednesday Wednesday

Cespedes was diagnosed with a mild strain of his right hip flexor but on the roster for Tuesday's serial launch against the Toronto Blue Jays.

He did not play in the Mets' 12-2 victory.

Cespedes had in the first Played 37 games of the team, but has engaged in the first two months of the campaign with persistent complaints. He is batting .255 with eight homers and 28 RBI.

The 32-year-old was hampered in 2017 by Achilles tendon injuries and was restricted to 81 games.
