The Mega Millions jackpot drawn on Tuesday has soared to approximately $625 million-making it possible to become the eighth largest in US lottery history and the fourth largest since the game was launched in 2002.
The winning numbers are: 12, 14, 26, 28 and 33. The Mega Ball drawn is 9, Megaplier is 2X.
Although no one in the country reached the $520 million grand prize last Friday, five second prize tickets were sold, including one in New Jersey. Each matches five numbers, but does not match the super ball.
New Jersey Lottery officials said Monday that the lucky New Jersey Lottery was purchased at the Jersey Bagel and Food Supermarket on Sicklerville Road in the Sicklerville District of Winslow.
The ticket to New York is worth $2 million because it was purchased through Mega Ball votes, so it costs an extra $1.
Tickets in Georgia and Massachusetts are also worth $1 million, while tickets in California are worth $576,869.
California lottery prizes depend on ticket sales and the number of winners. They are different from the fixed second prizes offered by other participating countries.
The winning numbers for Friday are: 3, 6, 16, 18 with 58.The original “giant ball” was 11 Doubling 2 times.
The last time the highest prize of any lottery player won the Mega Million jackpot was September 15, 2020, when a $120 million lottery ticket was sold in Wisconsin. There were two jackpots in New Jersey in 2020. An anonymous winner claimed to have won a $202 million prize in a lottery ticket sold at Edison on February 11 and purchased a $124 million lottery ticket in Bayonne on July 24.
Mega Millions tickets are worth $2 each. In New Jersey, they must be purchased before 10:45 on the night of painting. The odds of winning a lottery by matching five numbers and a super ball are 302,575,350 to 1. The player has one of 12,607,306 field goal percentages, and won the second prize of at least $1 million by matching five numbers.
Mega Millions are held in 45 states, Washington DC and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Lawrence’s New Jersey Lottery Office is open to the public by appointment. You can still claim your bonus in person at any retailer-provided the bonus is less than $599.50.
The lottery also accepts claims by mail, although officials warn that payment may be temporarily delayed. It is recommended that the winners copy the claim form and winning ticket as records.
