Boston (WWLP)-Health officials are already planning how to vaccinate in the Commonwealth.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires states to submit their vaccine distribution plans by November 1.
Massachusetts announced on Saturday a draft of how they plan to distribute the vaccine. According to the draft, the state expects to receive 20,000 to 60,000 doses of vaccine in the first phase.
In the first stage, priority will be given to medical staff and people who are considered high-risk. The second phase will include people of color and low-income communities with higher incomes.
Once the state gets enough vaccines in the final stage, health officials say the plan will allow everyone to get vaccinations quickly and free of charge.
