The action TV series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” mentioned the leading digital asset Bitcoin. Redditor mentioned Bitcoin when watching the latest episode. This is not the first mention of Bitcoin on TV, and it certainly won’t be the last.
Falcon and Winter Soldier with 1K Bitcoin bounty
On Friday, members of the Reddit forum r/bitcoin forum posted a screenshot of a message on the TV show “Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” The show originated from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was streamed on the Disney+ platform. The photo shared by Redditor was for the BTC bounty, which read: “Selby is dead. The kill1K bounty is her killer.”
Bitcoin.com readers can check the reference in the third episode “Power Broker”. At the time of launch, the bounty of 1,000 BTC will be close to $60 million.
Redditor said he thought it was cool, but when BTC was mentioned on TV a few years ago, it was much cooler. He said:
Watching the latest episode of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” on Disney+. I noticed this text message in a TV show. Think it’s cool, I want to share it.Remind you this is cool [five] Many years ago, when I entered the Bitcoin space, I was still very happy to see that we were entering the cultural touchstone.
“It’s just PayPal and I have some bitcoins”
Of course, many Bitcoin manufacturers know that BTC has been repeatedly mentioned on TV in the past. Just recently, the TV show “Shameless” mentioned Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). BTC’s first TV show was in the episode of “Good Wife” in 2012, and Krusty, the clown of “The Simpsons”, mentioned BTC the following year. On December 12, 2013, the late Alex Trebek used the digital asset in the 30th season of Dangerous Season.
A digital currency that can be traded without a central bank.
Of course, the question is “What is Bitcoin?” Digital assets continue to be named in popular TV shows. BTC has appeared in “Morgan Spurlock Inside Man”, “Navy CIS LA”, “Almost Human”, “Cards House”, “Mr. “Robots” and so on. “As early as PayPal, I could buy some bitcoins,” they said in their well-known radio show “Parks and Entertainment Places” in 2014.
