The lone star Macaulay Culkin supported social media comments, demanding that Donald Trump’s cameo in the sequel to the film be digitally deleted and replaced with an older version of Culkin’s own.
Culkin replied to a tweet requesting that “replace the ace in’home alone 2’with a 40-year-old Macaulay culkin digitally”: “sell”. Culkin then responded with “Bravo”
Trump briefly appeared in “Lonely Home 2: Lost in New York” when Culkin, as the hero Kevin, asked him for directions to the lobby of the Plaza Hotel owned by Trump at the time. The film’s director, Chris Columbus, said in an interview in December 2020 that Trump insisted that he played a role in the film in exchange for permission to shoot in a hotel, thereby “bullying the film.”
Columbus added that Trump’s cameo was a popular move: “When we first screened it, the strangest thing happened-when Trump appeared on the screen, people cheered for him. So I To the editor: “Leave him in the movie. This is the moment for the audience. ‘”
The petition to replace Trump with Joe Biden on change.org has already received 189 signatures at the time of publication.
