Users familiar with webOS will immediately notice the attractive, redesigned home screen that has been redesigned to enhance usability to meet the needs of viewers’ changing content consumption habits. The new home screen provides faster access to the most commonly used applications and can receive recommendations based on user preferences and viewing history, simplifying the content discovery process. In order to display recommended content and related information at a glance, Xinjia will be displayed in full screen as the central hub for settings and a larger WebOS ecosystem.
In addition to the new advanced design, LG’s new Magic Remote provides simpler control when using voice recognition with LG ThinQ, Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant̵
Using LG’s latest AI technology, TV voice control and Magic Remote, viewers can easily obtain the information they need by using voice. Magic Explorer is an enhanced version of LG Magic Link that can provide information related to the content displayed on the screen so that viewers can learn more about the actors and other content of interest in the movie and the program they are watching. Content-dependent functions can also provide a relaxed and friendly shopping experience for products that appear through selected broadcast channels and LG TV services (including live TV, gallery, settings, and TV guide) by changing the color of the cursor when Magic Explorer shares information.
In addition, the new “Next Picks” function can analyze the audience’s preferences to find more content that suits their tastes. Using viewing history data, Next Picks can recommend two live programs in broadcast or set-top box products, and a VOD title or application that viewers like most, thus saving viewers time and trouble.
