Leaders have reported 3002 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths

San Antonio -The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District reported that there were 133,519 COVID-19 cases and 1,648 deaths in Bexar County. As of Sunday, the number of new cases increased by 3,002. There are no new death reports today.

According to health officials, the total number of cases includes 70 backlogs of electronic laboratory reports, and the death toll includes 55 deaths, ranging from November 26 to December 24.

City officials also reported that 1

,407 patients were hospitalized, 395 patients were in the intensive care unit, and 229 were on ventilators.

There are 12% staff beds and 49% ventilators.

Two COVID-19 vaccination sites in San Antonio have been registered this week. However, there is still a place on the south side that accepts qualified residents. Read more here.
