Extradition cases are usually formalities, and judges rarely refuse to accept requests from another state to transfer suspects. But this is not the case here.

During the hearing in Rittenhouse, demonstrators supporting the “black life issue” appeared in court. Some people say they think that the extradition struggle is just a way for teenagers to avoid facing the consequences of their actions.

Clyde McCremore, who led some of the Kenosha protests, said he met with Rittenhouse in the evening before the shooting. He said that he was directed away from further conversations, and he thought this might make him safe.

It has also become the focus of national attention. Conservatives say that after the police shot Jacob Black, Rittenhouse exercised his right to bear arms during the Kenosha turmoil, while others called him a family terrorist.

McCremore said: “Killing has no political significance.”

For some conservatives, this case has become a rallying point. They regarded Rittenhouse as a patriot. After the white police shot and killed the black, they exercised their right to bear arms during the turmoil in Kenosha. Others portray him as a family terrorist, brandishing a rifle to incite protesters.

Rittenhouse and the person he was allegedly injured were white, and both were killed.

The day after the shooting, Rittenhouse surrendered to the police in the town of Antioch, Illinois, which is located on the border of Wisconsin and about 10 miles (16.09 kilometers) southwest of Kenosha.

Rittenhouse’s lawyers argued that his actions were self-defense and that extraditing him to Wisconsin would violate his constitutional rights.

In a document, they complained that Rittenhouse was “publicly labelled as “mass murderer”, “terrorist”, “racist” and the like. At the hearing in early October, Rittenhouse lawyer John Pierce (John Pierce) said: “This is not a legal criminal prosecution, it is a political prosecution. The defense lawyer also stated that extraditing him is similar to “handing him over to a mob.”
Rittenhouse’s defense team is preaching “irrelevant inflammatory facts only to sway sympathy and public opinion through the media to benefit the defendant.” Lake County Assistant State Attorney Stephen Scherer in a recent document Response.

Rittenhouse tried to get out immediately after the incident, but was arrested in a mobile phone video and said: “I just killed a person.” According to the prosecutor’s complaint, someone in the crowd said: “Beat him!” One shouted: “Help him! Help that guy!”

The video shows Rittenhouse tripping on the street. When he was on the ground, 26-year-old Anthony Huber from Silver Lake hit him with a skateboard and tried to pick up a rifle. Rittenhouse shot, killed Huber of West Allis who was armed, and injured Gaige Grosskreutz.
