As the college football playoffs semi-finals approach, ESPN analysts Kirk Herbstreit and Greg McElroy both announced on Tuesday that they tested positive for COVID-19.
Both went to Twitter to announce a positive test and said that both looked pretty good.
“At the beginning of this week, I tested positive for COVID,” Herbstreit tweeted. “I’m very happy, I feel good, my family is pretty good, but the agreement allows me to go home. I will work from home on the University GameDay (9am-1
Meanwhile, McElroy, the former quarterback of Alabama, will miss his Cotton Bowl and Rose Bowl games.
“This is my favorite week of the year. I am very happy to come home, go to DFW, call (Cotton Bowl game), and then call on the radio (Play Rose Bowl game),” McElroy said The tweet said. “Unfortunately, I tested positive for COVID. I am disappointed, but I feel good and hope to be back soon. Thank you everyone!”
McElroy was invited by ESPN’s “Cotton Bowl”, which is scheduled to be held on Wednesday at AT&T Stadium between sixth in Oklahoma and seventh in Florida. The kick-off time is set at 6 pm Eastern Time (7 pm Eastern Time).
In September, Herbstreit was exposed to COVID and tested negative, and participated in “GameDay”.
