Kevin James comedy "Kevin can wait" canceled after two seasons – diversity

"Kevin Can Wait" has been canceled by CBS after two seasons, Variety has learned.

The CBS sitcom stars Kevin James, Leah Remini, Taylor Spreitler, Mary Charles Jones, James DiGiacomo, Ryan Cartwright, Lenny Venito Gary Valentine and Leonard Earl Howze. James, Rock Reuben, Rob Long, Jeff Sussman, Andy Fickman, Tony Sheehan and Steve Mosko are executive producers for Sony Pictures TV and CBS Television Studios.

"Kevin Can Wait" was creatively reworked between seasons one and two. Erinn Hayes' character was written out of the show and Remini joined the cast, uniting James with his former "King of Queens" co-star.

But in the second season, the show still saw a big valuation slide. The cancellation after investing in two seasons is a teaser for Sony Pictures Television, which will sell the series to other buyers.

CBS has cleaned up the house of underperforming shows while it unveils its 201

8-19 advertising plans in Carnegie Hall in New York on Wednesday. The ax fell today on the drama "Scorpion" and the comedy "Superior Donuts". The first season comedies "Living Biblically" and "9JKL" should not be renewed.
