Kent launches new digital tracking tool for COVID-19



Grand Rapids (WOOD), Michigan — The Kent County Department of Health is launching a new tool to help track coronavirus cases.

Health officials are working with Michigan-based software developer CoherentRX to implement a program called “Patient Education Genius.” Through digital surveys sent via text or email, it will help collect information from people who have tested positive for COVID-19.

The program will also help provide isolation and isolation information.

Those who have not completed the digital survey will receive a call from the disease investigator to gather information.

The department said that despite the limited use of the program in the past few weeks, it will begin to use the tool on a large scale.
