The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Lakers on the opening night and faced another force in the Western Conference on Christmas Day.
But they lost Kawhi Leonard all the way.
The Clippers defeated the Denver Nuggets 121-108 on Friday, winning by a 2-0 advantage and blocking the NBA Holiday Slate with the fifth double-digit victory in five games.
They continued to win after losing Leonard. Leonard inadvertently bit him in his teeth late in the fourth quarter after fighting for a loose ball, bleeding and lying on the court.

Leonard was able to stand up and walk to the locker room, but was soon excluded from the rest of the game.
After the game, head coach Tyronn Lue was optimistic that Leonard was not seriously injured because the Clippers medical staff continued to evaluate their superstar.
Lu told reporters: “He got up and left the floor, so he would be fine.”
The Clippers then announced that Leonard needed eight stitches to close the laceration.
The Clippers withstood the Nuggets party
Los Angeles ended the game 72-55 at halftime and thwarted Denver’s efforts in the second half to bring the game to an end. The Nuggets threatened to return with an 11-0 score at the beginning of the fourth quarter. But Leonard blocked the game with a pair of mid-range jumpers.
Clippers fans will love the Nuggets who lost to the Western Conference semifinals in Game 5, Game 6, or Game 7 in September.
However, with the start of the new season by convincingly defeating opponents in the top league, the loyalists of the Clippers will have to prepare for the hottest game in the West in the new season, and hope that Leonard’s injury looks better than it is now. Worse.
Before the injury, Leonard and Paul George led the Clippers. He scored 21 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds and 4 steals, while shooting 8 of 14 goals. Some of these shots were mid-range shots that were underestimated late in the game, which is necessary to maintain the Clippers’ control.
Meanwhile, George scored 23 points and 9 assists when scoring 3 points on 5 of 9 hits.
Nuggets start slowly
After the Gaza team lost to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, the Nuggets’ defeat dropped the Nuggets to 0-2. For Denver, the good news is that Jamal Murray (Jamal Murray), after making a 9-1 effort for Sacramento, put in a lot of effort for the game, and later discovered his shooting technique.
Murray had 23 points and 5 rebounds, while shooting 9 of 20 from the field. Nikola Jokic led Denver with 24 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds.
