After a Kansas woman was arrested last week, she called her daughter to say that she was shot in a joke on April Fools’ Day.

The authorities arrived at the Wichita home and surrounded the nearby streets. Hunter said that the officer with the gun then slammed the door without a response. The home is empty.
The woman, 58 years old, was Arniaia Willis, who was working at the time. Police said she was arrested Thursday on suspicion of illegally requesting assistance from emergency services.
