John Wolford is the starting quarterback for the Rams in Sunday’s big game against the Cardinals.
Rams coach Sean McVeigh confirmed tonight that Walford will replace Jared Goff in his debut on Sunday, whose broken thumb will prevent him from playing on Sunday.
McVay is optimistic that Goff can return to the playoffs-if the Rams enter the playoffs, if they lose to the Cardinals, and the Bears beat the Packers, they will not come back.
Bryce Perkins belongs to the Rams’ lineup and is currently the only healthy quarterback besides Wolford. McVeigh confirmed that Blake Bottles, currently in the Broncos practice lineup, will be offered to the Rams’ active lineup. They were with the Rams last season, so he already knew the offense.
Wolford has never participated in the NFL regular season, but has spent two years with the Rams. He was on the practice team last year and is on the active roster this year. Now he will have the opportunity to show his ability in mega games. .
