If you buy a Porsche 911 GT3 RS selected by one of the most appreciative Porsche collectors in the world on the market, there is nothing more to ask for. Thanks to Bonhams’ auction list, you have the opportunity to own this unique Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which was previously owned by Porsche collector comedy lover Jerry Seinfeld.
This 991 Porsche 911 GT RS is not an ordinary Porsche, it represents one of the most powerful 911s in the 991 generation. The 911 GT3 RS was built as the pinnacle of naturally aspirated Porsche performance. It has a 4.0-liter Flat-6 engine with 520 horsepower (387 kilowatts) and a speed of 8,250 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission, helping to achieve uninterrupted power transmission.
For Jerry, the 911 GT3 RS is just a blank canvas, allowing him to customize options for more than $250,000. First, Jerry chose to skip the regular Porsche color tray and use the liquid chrome-plated blue metallic paint of the Porsche 918 Hypercar to order paint as a sample option. This 911 GT3 RS includes other options such as axle lifter, larger 23-gallon fuel tank, carbon ceramic brakes and Porsche Sport Chrono kit.
If these options are not enough, then Jerry also chose to remove the large rear wing from his 911 GT3 RS to provide the car with more classic cleaning features. Without the rear wing, the road-friendly appearance of this 911 is more concise and can be traced back to the classic 911. Bonhams includes a rear wing, which can be installed if the new owner chooses to return it.
This 911 GT3 RS is only 1,500 miles away from the odometer. It is ready for the new owner and they hope to add more mileage to it. Bonham’s pricing guide is US$290,000-330,000, which is a bargain considering the original list price is over US$450,000.
