Willow Smith felt as if she lost her "sanity" after having had success in the music industry at the age of nine.
In the second episode of her mother Jada Pinkett Smith's 's Facebook Watch series Red Table Talk Willow released her hit "Whip My Hair" in 2010. During the episode that focused on the loss, Jada Willow asked what her biggest loss to date was her life.
"I really feel like I've lost my mind at some point," Willow confessed. "It was after all the Whip My Hair thing and I had just stopped giving voice lessons and I was kind of in that gray area of" Who am I? "Do I have a purpose? anything else I can do? ""? "
" After the tour and the promotion and all that they wanted me to finish my album and I just said: & # 39; I will not do that & # 39 ;, Willow continued, "And after all that had calmed down and it was like a break, I just heard a lot of dark music and it was just so crazy." Willow went on to say, "I was just absorbed in it. I cut myself. "
A shocked Jada answered," What? For real? When did you cut yourself? I did not see this part. "
Willow stated that it was" a long time ago "and she injured her wrist.
" Totally lost my sanity for a moment, "Willow said, adding that no one but a friend knew
After hearing Willow talk about self-harm, Jada tore it up and asked Willow, "Why did you do that?"
See how Willow responded in the above video.
