There is still much mystery surrounding BioWare's Anthem . We do not really know what to expect from this social shooter. Comparisons to Destiny are the next thing we have. Some of them will be explained at E3 next month.
However, players will supposedly help to build this experience sometime before the actual release of the game. Wilson does not explicitly state that Anthem will experience some sort of early-access release, but that sounds like an early-access-type release, right? Games like these often go through a beta phase, which is just as much about pre-orders as finding bugs and stress testing servers. But these do not necessarily "shape and refine". That would require a longer testing process for a large group of consumers, and that's what Early Access is.
But of course this remains a mystery like everything else about Anthem . Wilson also said, "Each dimension of this game will provide something completely new to a broad audience of players ̵
One thing is carved in stone, without any kind of setback. In a question and answer session, CFO Blake Jorgensen stated that Anthem will be introduced in the last month of the fiscal year – in March 2019. And it's the very realistic possibility that it's so crucial for EA's budget forecasts to increase sales before year-end. At least we know if we can expect Anthem . Now we just have to learn almost everything.
