In March, Asian hate crimes in New York City surged; police said murder cases jumped 36%



The police said that compared with the same period last year, the crime rate in New York City rose in March, murder cases rose by 36%, and hate crime incidents surged.

According to law enforcement documents and officials, her assailant was later identified as 38-year-old Brandon Elliot (Brandon Elliot) repeatedly kicked and beat the woman, and told her: “F —you, You don’t believe here, you are Asian…” Eliot was charged with second-degree hate crimes, was acquitted on bail, and was released on bail for first-degree hate crimes attempted.
