Steve Kerr knows well that Steph Curry did not reach his normal level in Sunday’s 117-111 loss to the Atlanta Hawks by the Warriors.
Many others may not be clear yet.
Curry dropped 37 points (12 of 23 shots), added 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. Yes, the team that won the NBA MVP twice made 8 turnovers and only got 3 of 12 three-pointers, but he also tried 12 free throws and spent the night actively attacking.
In Curry’s time, the Warriors scored 8 points, and in 11:16 when he did not participate in the game, they scored 14 points.
Cole said in a post-match video conference with reporters: “He is cringing here and there, so you can see him a little bit painful.”
“But this is the standard Stephen set for himself. His mistake tonight is clearly a problem, but I think Stephen is competing wildly and he does his best. He has won everything possible for us.”
On Friday, Curry didn’t participate in the Warriors’ historic blowout loss, but put his injured tail on hold after falling multiple times in Thursday’s game against the Miami Heat. The 33-year-old man quipped to reporters on Sunday that it was “positive” and he landed on his tailbone only once. Curry said that this injury is “slowly” healing.

Even if Curry is not the best self on Sunday, losing to the Eagles represents a strong night of his profligacy. Unsurprisingly, the Warriors’ performance on the Curry court is much better than on the court, but this gap has been exacerbated by the recent slip of the Golden State Warriors.
In the past 16 games, the Warriors have scored 176 points. Curry only participated in 9 games, but the Golden State Warriors only scored 6 points on the court. The Warriors have a 4-12 record in the last 16 games and 3-6 in the games that Curry participated in.
Curry said: “This is the situation, and we still have a lot of things to improve.” “We are facing a challenge that all of us have to face. Now this is very uncomfortable. Everyone is frustrated, but it will test us A way to make these persistent The game is important and will show us something before the end of the season. “
