The Gengar pillow, priced at $250, was launched in Japan and…very personal.
However, if you are willing to try it, you may be out of luck. The plush developed by P-Bandai was available for pre-order last night, but it was sold out in less than 75 minutes.
The cushion is designed in the classic Pokemon style, 48 cm high and 53 cm wide. This is a bit smaller than its “real” size-Pokedex sets the average length of Gengar from tail to tip to 1.5m-but it makes up for its short stature with its huge tongue. Bundled inside the pillow body is more than five feet of padding, which can be unfolded for a variety of (obviously) sleep-related purposes.
It is difficult to accurately assess the purpose of plush. Last year, Bandai released the official Metapod sleeping bag, but it is much more difficult to determine where to rest when Gengar is involved. Some promotional photos show the model with its tongue tied up as a pillow, but in other photos, the model leaned its head into the Pokemon’s mouth, with the protruding tongue used as a very thin mattress, while other photos still suggest the tongue It can be like a blanket. I still have a few questions about why Bandai continues to position its bedding as part of the businessmen’s home work environment, but this is another matter.

It is not clear whether there will be a second wave of pre-orders or sales, or whether the product will be shipped outside Japan. However, since Gengar can learn to “lick” and “hypnosis”, you can at least easily know that the pillow is very accurate for Pokémon games, and you can at least rest assured.
