Harry Shearer no longer dubs the black’Simpsons’

Another white voice actor for “The Simpsons” has changed from borrowing a pipe to a colorful role.

According to The Wrap report, the white Harry Shearer will no longer speak for the black character Dr. Hibbert. In the episode “Wad Goals” next Sunday, Kevin Michael Richardson (“Bless the Deer”) will replace him.

Since 1990, Shearer has been appointing the most skilled doctor to Springfield (as opposed to Hank Azaria’s incompetent Dr. Nick). He also voiced Ned Flanders and Principal Skinner, and Fox confirmed to The Post that he would continue to voice other roles.

He joined Azaria and Azaria announced last year that he would no longer voice the Indian character Apu. Part of the reason is that the 201

7 documentary “The Problem with Apu” (The Problem with Apu) caught people’s attention. Azaria still expresses various roles in the show, such as Moe and Chief Wiggum.

“The Simpsons” is far from the only animated series that has addressed this topic in recent months.

After the death of George Floyd and the resurrection of the Black Life Issues Movement in 2020, the white “family man” actor Mike Henry announced that he would no longer speak for the black character Cleveland . Since then, Arif Zahir (Arif Zahir) has taken over this role.

On Netflix’s “Big Mouth” show, Jenny Slate resigned from speaking for Missy-Ayo Edebiri took over the role-and the Apple TV+ series “Central Park” replays the mixed-race character Molly, who was originally voiced by Kristen Bell and is now played by the star Emmy Rafer Lampman of “Umbrella Academy” (Emmy Raver-Lampman) Completed.

“The Simpsons” is currently in its 32nd season, which will air on Fox on Sunday at 8pm.
