Google Maps is about to enter the CarPlay Information Center.
Google announced on Monday that it will improve Google Maps in Apple CarPlay and Apple Watch.
The new Google Maps update brings Maps to the CarPlay dashboard, which is the main screen window where you can see many things at once, such as calendar appointments, music being played and routes.
Prior to the release of the iPhone update in March, Apple did not allow the use of third-party mapping applications in the area. So far, Google Maps users must use Apple Maps on the “Dashboard”
With CarPlay, you can view some applications, make calls, talk with Siri, and perform other operations in cars that support the application. It can compete with the Google Android Auto platform that can be used on Android phones.
The change will be rolled out from Monday.

Google Maps route navigation on Apple Watch.
Google Maps’ turning directions will be published on Apple Watch in the next few weeks.
This means you can get directions on Google Maps and then watch your watch to proceed to the next step. This is useful if you are walking around the town, cycling or driving, and there is no map on the dashboard.
Apple Maps already supports this feature, so for those who like to use Google Maps, it is just a new choice.
