In addition to integrating Chat and Rooms with Gmail, Google recently introduced some small but pleasant animations when swiping emails in the Android list view.
The Gmail mobile application has long provided “mail sliding operations” to quickly archive, delete, mark as read/unread, move to and pause messages. This is a very convenient way to categorize inboxes. Each gesture has been distinguished by a background color, but Google has now animated the icon to provide further confirmation of the action.
For example, marking as read will close the crease of the envelope, while filing will move the arrow into a box. Deleting will lift the lid of the trash can, you will see another arrow movement when you move, and snooze will make the clock spin. This is definitely a tiny detail, but it̵
Please make sure you have installed the latest version of Gmail for Android (version 2021.03.07) last week to get these sliding animations. It is not available on the iOS app.
