Galaxy SmartTag+ with UWB has been pre-ordered in the U.S.

Samsung launched two new object trackers together with the Galaxy S21 series earlier this year-Galaxy SmartTag and Galaxy SmartTag+. Although the Galaxy SmartTag went on sale almost immediately, Samsung has announced that the Galaxy SmartTag+ will go on sale later this year. It seems that the more advanced object tracker provided by the company will be available for purchase soon.

Galaxy SmartTag+ can now be booked in the United States. Best Buy has already begun accepting pre-orders for Galaxy SmartTag + and mentioned that the device will start shipping on April 12. The device is priced at US$39.99 in the United States and is available in two colors: black and denim blue. According to reports, Galaxy SmartTag+ received FCC certification earlier today.

The Galaxy SmartTag+ is more than 1

5 dollars more expensive than the normal Galaxy SmartTag, but it comes with UWB (Ultra Wideband), which can provide more precise location and direction information. It has Bluetooth 5.0 and the tracking range is close to 400 feet. When it is out of range, you can still use the Galaxy Find network to track Galaxy SmartTag+ through other Galaxy users’ devices. It has an IP53 dustproof and waterproof rating and a ringer. Its replaceable battery can last for 5 months.

Samsung provides some other concise options for Galaxy SmartTag+ in the SmartThings application. You can view the location of the object tracker in AR (augmented reality) mode, configure its buttons for smart home controls or routines, adjust the volume of the ringtone, and change the ringtone (there are 8 presets).
