Fully vaccinated people can travel in the United States without testing or isolation

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced on Friday that people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can travel freely in the United States, as long as they keep masks on planes, buses and trains.

It is not yet clear how much impact the new guidelines will have. People are already traveling and making their own decisions. American Airlines reported on Monday that the company’s bookings have jumped to 90% of the pre-pandemic.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said in the news on Friday: Briefing.

Despite this, the number of COVID-1

9 cases is still increasing. Currently, the 7-day average of new cases is slightly higher than 62,000 cases per day.

Volensky said that although the risk of travel for people receiving the full vaccination may be lower, the CDC does not recommend traveling at this time due to the rising number of cases.

More than 100 million people in the United States are expected to receive at least one dose of the vaccine on Friday. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show that more than 56 million Americans have received full vaccination.

Two weeks after the last injection of the COVID-19 vaccine, a person is considered to be fully vaccinated. This gives the body enough time to build antibodies against the virus.

The CDC says that fully vaccinated people no longer need to be tested for COVID-19, nor do they need to self-isolate before or after traveling to the United States. The guide does not mention whether people need to bring vaccine certificates to travel, although there is currently no U.S. airline that requires such documentation.

The same rules apply to people receiving international vaccinations, with some exceptions. Certain destination countries/regions may require that the imported COVID-19 test result be negative. The CDC recommends that people test negative before returning to the United States.

And even for vaccinated travelers, mitigation measures still exist: wear a mask, avoid overcrowding, and wash your hands frequently.

In fact, all American airlines still require passengers to wear masks.

Varensky said: “Taking precautions to stop the spread of COVID-19 is the way out of this pandemic.”

The CDC has been slowly instructing people on what they can do after they are fully vaccinated. The agency said that at the beginning of March, they can safely party with lads from other families without wearing masks or physically distancing themselves, even if these people have not fired.
