Foxconn opposes Wisconsin’s rejection of tax credits

Madison, Wisconsin (AP)-Foxconn Technology Group has notified Wisconsin that it opposes the state’s rejection of tax credits for job creation.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. (Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.) said earlier this month that Foxconn is not eligible for tax cuts based on capital investment and employment in 2019.

The state’s Economic Development Bureau determined that Foxconn’s factory in southeastern Wisconsin employs only 281 full-time employees who are eligible for tax credits, and capital expenditure is only $300 million.

Taiwan-based Foxconn disputed these figures and stated in a letter on Friday that it hopes to resolve the differences within 30 days.
