Fortnite's v4.1 update has arrived and, along with a number of bugfixes, marks the beginning of a new time-limited mode in Battle Royale. The  Avengers -themed Infinity Gauntlet mashup event is now underway on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Mobile, giving players the chance to play as Mad Titan Thanos.
Infinity Gauntlet Mashup only mode similar to a typical Battle Royale game. 100 players are thrown on the island and must compete to be the last. However, early in the game, a meteor will crash inside the Storm Security Zone, leaving the Infinity Glove behind, and the first player to find and equip it will be transformed into Thanos. As Thanos, players will no longer be able to build or use weapons, but they will receive some meaningful powers from the Infinity glove that can completely destroy opponents. The maximum playing time in Infinity Gauntlet Mashup mode is about 15 minutes. In addition, each game begins with the Storm Circle already on the map, and the Storm deals more damage than normal. Epic has not yet announced how long the crossover event will stay in rotation, but earlier timeout modes typically run for about a week.
