San Diego-Patres star shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. suffered a difficult swing injury and immediately lost Monday’s 3-2 loss to the San Francisco Giants.
Tatis raided Anthony DeSclafani and fell to the ground, wincing in pain. He hugged his left arm when he got up, and two sports trainers helped him to lean his left arm on his body when leaving the field.
The priests later said that Tatis had withdrawn because of a subluxation of his left shoulder, which was a partial dislocation of the joint. He will reassess on Tuesday.
