A clip allegedly a trailer first appeared on Twitter on Monday, and then the trailer was uploaded to YouTube. The video has not been confirmed by the publisher Bandai Namco as a trailer for the upcoming game.
The material contains some trademarks of FromSoftware games. In one shot, the player’s character sneaks behind the enemy and stabs it to the back. In the battle, there are two eyes to see the magic, one is surrounded by characters and then shot, which is similar to the “Homing Soul” spell in the “Dark Soul” game. There is also a spell that seems to create a magic spear, similar to the various magic weapon spells found in the developer’s game. If there is no huge boss, it will not be FromSoftware’s game, as shown many times in the leaked trailer.
The second part of the leaked trailer was uploaded on the Elden Ring News YouTube channel. This game does not show combat like the first game, but it has more content of the world in which the game takes place. The narrator also mentioned how the player “crossed the sea of fog and reached the rift valley”.
Fog is another pillar of the FromSoftware game, and the boss area is usually blocked by a fog wall. Take a quick look at three different player categories, one of which has a typical wizard attire. In the FromSoftware game, in addition to Sekiro, players can choose an introductory class with different data and equipment.
There were two more leaks on Monday and combined with the previous two leaks to create a nearly two-minute trailer. The final video was recorded from the same screen as the first two screens, but it seems to be in a different location and there is no audio. More worlds are shown again, and it looks very similar to FromSoftware’s Dark Souls game. Then in the final leak, a character in a robe appeared, seeming to be an opponent in the game.
In addition to the small amount of information released in 2019, people know very little about Elden Ring. The director of the game, Hidetaka Miyazaki, said that Martin created the myth and it will be one of the biggest games the developer has ever made. The original release date of Elden Ring was set for March, but it appears to have been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Nibellion on Twitter, on Monday, Bandai Namco also registered “Bandia Namco Next” as a trademark. This may be an upcoming presentation by the publisher itself, and it will most likely feature Elden Ring.
Bandai Namco did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
