Diane Keaton's self-proclaimed "witch's hat" has charmed Jimmy Kimmel, seemingly romantically.
The Oscar winner visited Kimmel's evening talk show on Wednesday to promote her new film Book Club in which her character – one of four girlfriends (Keaton, Candice Bergen, Mary Steenburgen and Jane Fonda ) who are late to live and love – falls to a dashing man by Andy Garcia. Keaton bubbled over her good-looking co-star in her first part of the interview and seemed to be annoyed at the mere thought of a particularly romantic scene she shares with him in the film.
"Want to see what happens to me and Andy in the movie? I'll do it with you now," Keaton says, before he sets the scenario. "At the end of the film, I have this extremely fun moment for me and I see Andy and we're together and I'll kiss him goodbye, ok so here's how it went. You better get up."
Kimmel, who stands for Garcia, Keaton joins in front of his desk. When he asks her about the direction and inspiration for the scene, she tells him that he is "just the man".
"I did not have a hat, so I did not look like a witch … I look at his face and I … go that way," Keaton continues, grabbing Kimmel's face with both hands. Normally the man does that! "
She draws Kimmel's lips to hers while the audience cheers.
"A dream came true for Jimmy Kimmel, why can not I be Andy Garcia?" Asks Kimmel. Keaton adds, "Andy is great, Andy is so great in the movie and it's so much fun playing with him because he's very laid back and unlike you, you were stiff!"
Book Club is in cinemas on Friday. Watch Keaton's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live above.
