The CW has given series of five dramas for the 2018-19 season, including restarts of Charmed and Roswell, New Mexico.
Pickups are also "In the Dark," "All American," and "Legacies."
CW's new roster for the upcoming season is once again heavy on fantasy and supernatural themes. "All American" is a departure from the story of a high school football player from South Los Angeles, who is recruited for a school in Beverly Hills. "All American," written by April Blair, adds another show to CW team producer Greg Berlanti, who has shot two CBS drama series pickups today.

"In The Dark", created by Corinne Kingsbury, revolves around a blind woman who is the only one witnessing a murder and sets out to solve the case with the help of her service dog. Legacies, directed by executive producers Julie Plec and Brett Matthews, is a supernatural vehicle for young students at a school for witches, vampires and werewolves.
"Roswell, New Mexico," written by Carina Adly MacKenzie and also produced by Plec, focuses on a woman who discovers that her youthful crush, who became a police officer, is an alien. The two work together to explore its origins, but are embroiled in a violent attack and a long-time government cover-up that points to a greater extraterrestrial presence on Earth. An earlier incarnation of "Roswell," led by Jason Katims, ran on WB Network from 1999-2002.
