Connecticut-Today, out of 169 states, eight Connecticut towns are not part of the state’s red zone of coronavirus infection. Last week, there were only three towns that were not part of the red zone.
This week, the only municipalities in the state that are not in the red zone are Salisbury and Woodbridge, both at the orange warning level. As well as Canaan, Colebrook, Cornwall, Scotland, the Union, and Warren, all of which are at the gray warning level.
A town falls into the red zone when there are 15 or more coronavirus cases per 100,000 people per day in an average of two weeks. This week’s map comes from the test results from December 6th to December 1
9th.
The cities with the highest incidence are:
1. Franklin: 114.6
8. Hartford: 88.9
9. Middlebury: 86.8
10. New Britain: 85.8

Connecticut health officials made the following recommendations for towns in the red zone:
Personal: Limit travel outside and avoid gatherings with non-family members. People at risk should stay at home.
Community: Cancel public events and limit community gathering points, and remind residents through the reverse 911 system.
Organized group activities: postpone all indoor activities. Outdoor activities that cannot always wear masks or maintain social distancing are postponed.
Kindergarten Kindergarten Grade 12 School: In cooperation with the local health department and the person in charge, if there are more than 25 cases per 100,000 residents per day in an average of two weeks, consider more distance learning.
