EAU CLAIRE COUNTY (WEAU), Wisconsin-On Friday night, a fire in Eau Claire forced residents of an Eau Claire mobile park to evacuate their houses.
Matt Gunderson, head of the Eau Claire Fire and Rescue Team, said that the staff were called to the Terrace Hill Mobile Home Park before 5 pm, and the high winds made it difficult to control the fire.
About 70 nearby houses were evacuated and a city bus was introduced as a temporary shelter. By 7 pm, all residents were allowed to return to their homes due to heavy smoke and were asked to settle in appropriate places.
The crew is expected to be present throughout the night.
The Eau Claire Fire Rescue Organization continues to investigate the cause of the fire.
There were no reports of injuries.
