Editor’s note: Experts agree Masks cannot replace or reduce the need for hand washing and social distancing, And they will never stop the spread of COVID-19 alone.
Since late June, the number of daily coronavirus cases in the United States has broken records, forcing more states to issue mask requirements. Therefore, masks have become more and more important in back-to-school shopping this year. Crayola just released a series of reusable cloth masks for children to wear in the classroom. If you delve into back-to-school shopping and are considering preparing masks for your children, here is the knowledge about Crayola̵
Crayola’s SchoolMaskPack kid mask
This handicraft company sells a pack of five reusable cloth masks, color-coded every day of the week to help children develop habits around them (and help parents keep track of these habits). There are seven different designs of masks, from cartoon faces to rainbow colors. Crayola’s School Mask Packs can be pre-ordered on Crayola’s SchoolMaskPack website and Amazon-they are expected to arrive on August 21st.
SchoolMaskPack Liquid Repellent Mask for Children
Both of Crayola’s SchoolMaskPack designs use liquid repellent treatment. This makes the outer layer of the mask hydrophobic, thereby preventing water from being worn in the rain or during exercise.
Crayola’s children’s masks are machine washable and suitable for children from 3 to 11 years old. Each package is equipped with a mesh laundry bag and a calendar card to record the usage of the mask. The mask has adjustable ear straps and a nose clip to ensure a firm fit and prevent fogging of the glasses.
SchoolMaskPack Mask Belt-Kids Set
Crayola also sells five mask lanyards to match the mask. All masks and mask straps have name tags.
As previously reported by NBC News Shopping, the opening of schools in the fall will be encouraging, and in some cases students will be required to wear masks in classrooms. In addition, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that all children over two years old wear masks in public places to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
Experts say that although schools across the country have different regulations on masks, in general you should follow the general guidelines for buying masks. The CDC outlines five standards to remember, which apply to children and adults:
The mask should Close comfortably
They must be Secure with tie or earrings
They should include Multilayer fabric
You should be able Unrestricted breathing When wearing a mask
you should Able to clean the mask Will not damage or lose the shape of the mask
