Philadelphia officials announced on Friday that as infection rates continue to decline and vaccination rates climb, several restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be eased.

In the announcement: Some fans will be allowed to participate in sports events.

However, the health commissioner, Dr. Thomas Farley (Thomas Farley) said that loose restrictions depend on the use of consistent, universal masks.

The following dates are effective on Monday, March 1:

Farley said: “If the state government relaxes restrictions further, we will consider whether to match it.”
