Pierrey, California (KELO)-According to the latest update from the U.S. Department of Health, another 12 people have died of COVID-19 in South Dakotan.
The death toll climbed to 415. The new deaths are 4 men and 8 women. That resulted in 192 deaths in October, the deadliest month of the pandemic so far.
The current number of active cases is 13,520, higher than Thursday’s (12,462) and the new single-day record.
Last Friday, the United States announced 1,559 new coronavirus cases, increasing the total number of cases in the state from 43,000 on Thursday to 44,559. In a total of 1559 new cases, there are 1389 new PCR cases and 171 new antigen cases. Now, the total number of recovered cases is 30,624, compared with 30,1
The total number of people tested negative now is 212,097, higher than Thursday’s (210,514).
Currently, the number of COVID-19 hospitalizations is 403, down from 413 on Thursday. Now, the total number of hospitalizations, including only South Dakota residents, is 2,660, compared to 2,602 on Thursday.
