MIAMI (Associated Press)-An official from the medical examiner’s office said on Wednesday that a South Florida doctor died about two weeks after taking Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. He died naturally.
In an email from Darren Caprara, Director of Operations of the Miami-Dade County Medical Examination Department, Dr. Gregory Michael died of a disease that could cause internal bleeding and did not Medical evidence confirms that the bullet can cause the disease.
Michael’s death in January was investigated by the Florida Department of Health and the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The sample from the autopsy was sent to the CDC.
Caprala said: “Scientific and clinical expertise in vaccine safety, immunology, infectious diseases, hematology, pathology and laboratory science is part of the research team, or frequent consultations.”
The research team concluded that Michael died of complications from immune thrombocytopenia (also known as ITP), which prevents blood clotting and causes internal bleeding. Michael died of the disease in January two weeks after shooting.
Michael, 56, is an obstetrician and gynecologist in a private clinic at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.
