Lucknow : Two men posing as leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and an official of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) were arrested on Thursday after receiving Rs 1 Crore from the The Unnao rape women's party had accused BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar of dropping the case against him.
According to Hindustan Times report, the police identified the two as Alok and Vijay, both residents of Lucknow.

"Two people were arrested for claiming Rs 1 crore from Sangeeta Singh, wife of Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who offered to release the release of the MLA," said Deepak Kumar, SSP, Lucknow.
Sangeeta, who lives in Indira Nagar in Lucknow, received a call from an unknown number on May 5. The caller introduced himself as a BJP leader and offered to secure the release of her husband. He demanded Rs 1 crore to bribe CBI officials.
When Sangeeta said it was not possible to get Rs 1 crore, the caller asked her to arrange Rs 50 lakh, police said.
The next day, she got a call from another number and the caller introduced herself as CBI officer Rajeev Mishra. He also offered assistance to secure Sengar's release.
The caller asked Sangeeta to report to the CBI office in Lucknow on May 7 to hand over the money. Sangeeta informed her relatives via phone calls.
They became suspicious and informed the Ghazipur police station in Lucknow over the phone calls. On Thursday, the police arrested Alok and Vijay after following the phone calls.
