CDC says fully vaccinated people can travel-cruise industry news

Center for Disease Control and Prevention Building

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Friday that people receiving full vaccinations can travel, which opens the door to possible cruise restarts in the United States for passengers and crew members undergoing full vaccinations.

However, the industry is still waiting for guidance from the CDC.

In addition, the agency’s latest guidance also states that fully vaccinated people do not need to be tested for COVID-1

9 before traveling abroad, unless the destination needs to do so, and vaccinated people returning from an international destination do not need to be self-reported when they return. Isolate unless requested by a US state or/and local authority.

The agency did add that people should wear masks, maintain social distancing and avoid crowds.
