Cannabis cultivation operation burned in South Los Angeles fire

Green Meadows, Los Angeles (KABC)-A fire on Saturday afternoon triggered an apparent cannabis cultivation operation in the southern area of Los Angeles.

About 170 Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters were sent to the 8700 block of South Crocker Street near Green Meadows to extinguish the flames.

The strong flame kept the firefighters in a defensive state.

Initially, this 300-foot x 300-foot single-story commercial building appeared to be a furniture manufacturing company, but firefighters discovered that it was actually used to grow marijuana.

There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
