The Patriots’ latest quarterback didn’t waste any time mingling with one of his future passing goals in New England.
In the Instagram video of “The Sideline Hustle”, Newton showed Tuesday on a field on the UCLA campus working out with his lenient receiver Mohamed Sanu.
When Newton and the Carolina Panthers were together, Newton and Sanu were regular opponents of each other, while Sanu of the Atlanta Falcons was Sanu. Now in New England, they will be given the task of taking over Tom Brady and trying to extend the AFC East title to twelve consecutive seasons.
Both Newton and Sanu hope to rebound after being injured in the 2019 season. Newton played only two games before Lisfranc’s injury ended his last season in Carolina. After Sanu was traded to New England last year, he suffered a high ankle sprain in his second game with the team, so his speed slowed down significantly.
