California needs solar panels for most new homes

The plan does not foresee that a household will reach net zero status (where solar energy fully offsets the energy consumed in one year). However, there are "compliance credits" for builders who install storage batteries like the Tesla Powerwall and build smaller panel arrays that know that excess energy is available to work outside working hours.

The new standards are poised to raise construction costs from $ 25,000 to $ 30,000 (approximately half of which is directly attributable to solar), but the self-produced energy will save owners $ 50,000 to $ 60,000 in operating costs compared to expected 25-year life of solar technology.

On the verge of a surprise At the vote of the Energy Commission on May 9, California will be the first state that needs a solar system. It's relatively easy to do this in the region, given the plethora of warm, sunny days and high property prices in California ̵

1; it's hard to see that this is the case in the American Midwest, where winter and lower house prices solar significantly less practical. Critics have complained that this could aggravate the housing shortage in California by counting people from the flats available and note that most people in this state make use only of nonrenewable energy and the electric Load network.

Yet, this could change the landscape for California's energy and the market as a whole. At present, more than 20 percent of California's new family homes are solar-powered. Increase this by five times and that is much more business for panel makers and installers. This, in turn, could reduce the cost of switchboards and make solar power more affordable, not just in California or even in the US.
