Texas State Police inspected a house earlier on Monday, and the results were shocking: Six family members were scattered across three generations and were shot to death.
What they learned next was equally shocking: it was a murder suicide committed by two brothers, one of whom posted the plan on social media.
“Hey everyone. According to reports, 19-year-old Farhan Towhid (Farhan Towhid) wrote in a note that this boasted how easy it was for him and his 21-year-old brother Tarvin to buy guns.
“If I am going to die, I might as well get some attention.”

Allen’s killing sent shock waves in the close Bengali-American community to which the family belonged.
Sahnewaz Hossain told reporters: “Moms always talk about boys, how well they are academically, and how to get into good schools through scholarships.” Dallas Morning News.
“Every time I go home, I tell my children how well they are doing. They are a fun-loving, simple family.”
The victim was identified as 54-year-old Islam Towhidul Islam. His wife, Iren Islam, is 56 years old; his grandmother, Altafun Nessa, is 77; and Farbin’s twin sister, Farbin Towhid.
“It looks like two teenage sons have reached an agreement that they are going to commit suicide and they are going to take their family,” Police Sergeant Allen said. John Felty told the local radio station KRLD.
According to several news media reports, Farhan apparently wrote a suicide record in Google Docs and posted it on his Instagram. He stated in the letter that he and his brother (both were students at the University of Texas at Austin) were suffering from severe depression.

The police said they believed the shooting took place on Saturday, and the person who saw the note contacted the authorities and asked the family to be checked. There is no previous record of family harassment.
