The Softball Tournament Selection Show for the NCAA 2018 is scheduled for 22:00 ET on Sunday, May 13th.

2018 NCAA Softball Tournament: TV Station

The NCAA Softball Tournament 2018 Selection Show will be televised on ESPN2.

2018 NCAA Softball Tournament: Projected bracket, field

The tournament consists of 64 teams, with 32 teams betting on automatic bids. The other half of the field is selected by the Division I Softball Committee.

16 teams are seeded, with 16 teams in one of the Regionals. If the favorites win all in the Regionals, the top 8 teams will serve as hosts for the Super Regionals.

In NCAA Softball Tournament 2017, all 16 seeded teams have been driven by the Regionals. In the Super Regionals, the four of the eight advancing teams were top-8 seeds. The other half of the Women's College World Series field consisted of teams 9-15. In the end, Oaklahoma No. 10 swept top seed Florida to win its second national championship in a row.

2018 NCAA Softball Tournament: Teams, Automatic Bids

Out of 64 teams, that make it to the tournament, 32 automatically qualify as conference champions. Most come in through conference tournaments, but some qualify as champions of the regular season.
