Bowser’s Fury is a short, action-rich, free-roaming Mario adventure

Nintendo explained that Bowser’s Fury (a new independent adventure released with Super Mario 3D World’s Switch) will be a “short but full of action” free roaming experience. The new Bowser’s Fury website describes the expanded story: “Mario was sent to the cat-themed Lake Lapcat, and Bowser was crazy! Join forces with Bowser Jr. to help his father in this short but action-filled independent adventure Relax in the middle.”

The website also confirmed that the adventure is free to roam. You will travel around Lapcat Lake looking for Cat Shines, which will allow you to unlock the new Giga Bell power-on device and relight the lighthouse to clear the dark area. This sounds closer to Super Mario Odyssey than 3D World̵

7;s more carefully planned courses.

On Twitter, Nintendo added that Bowser’s Wrath can be selected from the “Super Mario 3D World” title screen-this is not a level of the game, it can also be unlocked by playing Wii U reissue.

The new website also confirms how amiibo will work in the extension. Using Bowser amiibo will cause a new Fury Bowser to appear in the game, and Bowser Jr. amiibo will release “powerful shock waves to shoot down nearby enemies and obstacles.” Other amiibo will also have an impact-as shown in yesterday’s “Overview Trailer” (above), one of them will appear to be the golden cat Mario statue.

In the past few days, we have learned a bit about Fury of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser, including the addition of a photo mode, and how Fury Bowser will become a timed world event in a new adventure. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will arrive on Switch on February 12, and you can book it now.

We rated the Wii U version of Super Mario 3D World as 9.6/10 in the review, saying that it is “great, and its ever-changing genre and excellent easy co-op games prove that Nintendo still knows exactly how to adjust the Mario formula. the way.”
