According to TechCrunch the founders of Skip decided to use larger scooters with a wider platform, double suspension and front / rear / brake light. They've modified the scooters to make them more durable, so they need less maintenance, but their ultimate goal is to build their own – given their background, they'll probably be able to do that. To prevent the vehicles from blocking the way, the company demands a photo of the scooters standing upright in the middle of a path. Skip has also started a loader program where people can be paid to take the scooters, clog them in their homes, and drop them.
